Cooperation for new vacation packages near Trappist Abbeys Netherlands

Local meets International: Streekweb (‘Region web’) and Tastes Of Abbeys start a collaboration. Both initiatives provide visitors inspiration for recreational activities in the Netherlands, in the region of trappist abbeys (North Brabant) and now will join their forces.

On visitors can compose their short break or getaways plans and find everything there is to see, do and for sale in the region. provides visitors information for  walking - and cyclingroutes and local products in the region of trappist abbeys.
Both platforms also offer vacation packages and both want to increase the amount of packages.

International reach for arrangements in the region
The new partners will support each other in developing and presenting packages and arrangements in the same region. The arrangements of Streekweb can also be placed on which gives the arrangements a global reach. This is because has an international audience, the audience that is interested in Trappist beer and in the region of these beers.

The Netherlands has two Trappist abbeys and one  on the border with Belgium. The arrangements developed and presented with commitment of both parties, are linked to the regions of these abbeys. All relevant businesses within these regions will be involved.

The website is the result of the EU project 'TATRA - Tastes of Trappists: a slow tourism experience' which aims to promote sustainable tourism in the region of Trappist helps visitors for a 'slow' tourist experience in the regions around the Trappist abbeys. For this, the website offers:
